The adhesive backing is blue, but the grip tape itself is clear.

Grip your own hula hoops! This is a new grip tape on the market! It’s clear, soft to the touch and super grippy. We recommend splicing it down to a width of 1/3" for 3/4” OD hoops, or 1/4” for 5/8” and 11/16” hoops

Clean your hoop so that it's squeaky clean of debris, dust and oils/residues. Work with clean hands, in an area that is ideally 60-80°. This material has a better chance of adhesion when it's not too cold.

Remove paper backing as you apply it. Smooth it down, rubbing with your hands helps. You can carefully use a hairdryer or a heat gun on low to briefly warm the tape to finish the application process as you smooth it. (Be careful to not get too close or allow the heat to be directed in one spot too long as this could damage the hoop). Once it's set the tape will have a great adhesion!

For reference: 10 feet will be enough for an inner rim application for a 38" hoop.
