HDPE hoops are the best as far as durability! Nearly as lightweight and zippy as polypro, HDPE can handle much colder temperatures and is not prone to cracking like polypro. They are also great for kids hoops, and their higher quality tubing is far superior to the material used in toy store hoops, less likely to kink in a week’s time. Colored HDPE is available in 3/4” or 5/8”, perfect for Intermediate level to advanced hoopers.

We try to use Polycarb inserts as often as possible, but sometimes the tubing actually may perform better with HDPE or Polypro inserts.
